Windows Defender – Good Enough?

Windows Operating systems comes with an Anti-virus program called Defender.

Is it enough? I have been using it for the last year and I have found it to be an excellent resource for protection.

  • It scans as I go without interference
  • It updates on its own without intervention or action from me
  • It stops attacks
  • It prevents infection
  • Low maintenance and resources

When another anti-virus program gets installed, Windows defender takes a back seat. It does not interfere with other anti-virus programs but, rather turns itself off from the scanning and protecting service.

I use Malwarebytes as a scan tool to check on Malware infections, especially if my system is running slowly or is acting up.

This program scans for things that hide in the recesses of the operating system and is fully compatible with Windows Defender.
